Pretty crazy that 2024 his over! Where did all the time go?!?!
In Iceland, we shoot up fireworks on New Year´s eve to say goodbye to the old year and welcome in the new year. This photo was taken of me on Dec 31st, 1979.
Thank you for all your comments and your time on the #TBT thread during 2024. I wish you a prosperous and happy 2025. Look forward to even more engagements this year.
Early in the year still and - for many - still very early morning as well ... But to all you awesome folks here in Community my very best wishes for a healthy, peaceful, successful and collaborative 2025! 🥳🥂🌲💙

For my throwback element: When we were little kids, New Year's Eve was a chance to eat junk food all evening (maybe even drink soda) and stay up until midnight.
Happy new year, everyone and thank you @Kristján Geir Mathiesen for all the TBT posts that make me laugh and even those that sometimes make me get a little teary-eyed. Your contributions to this Community are invaluable.

A bit late to the party but happy new year everyone! 🎉
Btw, in most of our cities there are no official fireworks:
Fireworks are not used out of consideration for pets and fellow citizens for whom they are a source of stress and trauma. Environmental protection arguments have also been added to the list of reasons against pyrotechnics, given that the chemicals used in their production harm the environment. Alternatives to fireworks include lasers, confetti, and other visually appealing effects.
And just yesterday, a petition to ban the sale and use of pyrotechnics in the whole country has been published so there's that.
Happy New Year to all the wonderful people in this Community! And that's a wonderful "throw back" photo of you in the snow, @Kristján Geir Mathiesen , I didn't recognize you without the beard! ☺️

Happy 2025 everyone! Each year I reflect on the Community growth and 2024 certainly is one to remember. It is hard to imagine how our Community can keep sky rocketing but here we are.
