Throwback Thursday: What is your favorite theme park/attraction? #TBT

It's Thursday!
I was 8 years old when my parents took me and my sister to Disneyland. I really loved it. I´ve gone a few times since and even as an adult, I think it is quite magical and fun. Here is a picture of me, my son, and my distant aunt in Disneyland in 1996.
Soooo, what is your favorite theme park/attraction?
That's varied through the years. When I was a kid, it was the Opryland theme part in Nashville. It was close, had some good roller coasters and music. And some water rides. I don't go to many nowadays and would say it would probably be more like Sea World or maybe a Zoo or museum.

Woo-hoo, guess what day it is? It's Thursday, the gateway to the weekend!
I got to visit the Taj Mahal in the Agra city of India. It was a truly incredible experience! The majestic white marble architecture left me completely mesmerized. It's a must-visit destination. Standing there, I felt a profound sense of history and beauty, making it a cherished memory I'll carry forever.
Seems like my photos decided to play hide-and-seek, but no worries! I've got a perfect one from Google to show you!
It's county fair season in the Midwest. Nothing like hanging out when you're a kid on the midway, riding the rides, taking your chance on the carnival games, and most importantly for me, finding the arcade and hanging out in there for hours, one quarter at a time!

I grew up in SoCal and am a Disneyland girl! I also love miniatures, so my first thought was the Storybook Land Canal Boats. I also love the Jungle Cruise and the Haunted Mansion. And I love Tower of Terror, the WDW version.

I never got to experience the magic of Disney as a kid. Not complaining as I didn't know what I was missing.
For me, the magic of Disney was seeing the wonder and excitement in my son's eye when we took him. It wasn't until the second day when I realized I could be a kid again and experience the same wonder and excitement which made the trips even more enjoyable for me (well, except for the plunge of the Haunted Mansion).
Bushkill Falls in Pennsylvania has been a place I have enjoyed through my life, first as a kid of 9 walking through the trails, feeling excited by the waterfalls, and racing to see the next set of falls up slickened steps. Then, as a 20-something walking through the trails reliving the excitement but walking a bit slower to enjoy the beauty of the falls. Even more then, as a parent with his parents sharing the falls with my son.
I have been there several times by myself as it is a place where I find great comfort being amongst the older memories and in the never ending majesty of the falls.
It's the Euro-Mir Rollercoaster at the Europa-Park in Germany. It was one of the first "big" rollercoasters I was allowed (and brave enough) to ride.
The waiting line is already cool since it plays a song which sticks with you (click on own responsibility ... I warned you). Once you're in the building the waiting line turns into the hallways of the Enterprise: The Next Generation and other space references.
Once you're in the coaster you'll drive up in the inside of the towers and exit on the top - so it's a sudden and amazing view from the top.
Fun fact: The seats are actually spinning in addition which causes some extra fun.
Damn I need to visit Europa-Park again and hop on this ride!
My favorite theme park is Disney World's Magic Kingdom in Florida. I went there only once with my family and friends when my daughter was 5 years old. She had a great fun time there and her excitement and energy made me feel that it was the best theme park experience of my life so far.
Have a great Thursday and rest of the week everyone!
Disneyland Paris was definitely my favorite. It was my first "holiday" in 2011 with my son and daughter (5 and 6 years old at the time), a couple of months after my divorce. I have such great memories about those 2 days.

I also love Disney theme parks and water parks, but my personal favorite right now is Universal Studios, specifically the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! I'm sure a lot of you are not surprised by me choosing this! I love the scenery, the rides, the food and the BUTTERBEER!
On my first trip to the US as a kid, we went to Sea World Orlando. That was quite amazing. Although all the animals were great, as a rollercoaster enthusiast I still remember the Kraken being the only rollercoaster ever giving me a bit of an upset stomach. 😆
I've gone to Disneyland Los Angeles back in 2008. It was a good experience except that you will have to wait a couple of hours to get a ride due to the queue.
Back in 2008, I think the most fun ride was The Simpsons roller coster.

When I think of amusement parks, two memories immediately come to my mind:
Playmobil Funpark (Germany)
When I was 7 years old, I went on a trip to the Playmobil Fun Park with my sister (8 years old) under supervision. Since we had tons of Playmobil at home, it was an absolute dream to experience all the buildings like the pirate ship, the Aztec temple or the knight's castle in life size. I was so impressed with the attractions that I lost my sister and the entire group.
So there was me, a lost little boy alone in the funpark. After a while, when I couldn't find anyone, I swallowed one chewing gum after the other as a consolation. They helped me a lot to cope with the stress, unfortunately it was over after 20 chewing gums because my mouth was full and the pack was empty :P
After a few hours my sister finally found me and I happily jumped into her arms. She then took me to the supervisor, who in the meantime was calmly sunbathing. So I was in good hands, right?… :D
Europa Park (Germany)
For my 24th birthday I was surprised by my girlfriend. She invited my best friend, who I hadn't seen for a long time. We drove off together without me knowing where we were going. We finally arrived at Europa Park and I was absolutely thrilled. Admittedly, the roller coasters made me scream like a bird, which amused my girlfriend and my mate a lot. My personal highlight was when I got 3 out of 3 hits when throwing a target and was able to choose a huge Pokémon of my choice. Since I already own Charmander, I chose Shiggy. That was a great day.

Disney World in Florida is my ultimate favorite theme park. I had the incredible opportunity to visit in 2008, and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring Magic Kingdom and Universal Studios during that trip. Those days spent at the parks are etched in my memory as some of the most unforgettable moments of my life.
