Throwback Thursday: books from the past #TBT

It's Thursday!

giphy

Hope you folks are having a fine week. When I was young, I didn't have very many friends during a period of 2-3 years maybe. I think it was my mom who suggested I´d visit the library. So I did and started reading quite a bit. Here is a picture of some of the books I read:

Hardy brothers, the Adventure series by Enid Blyton, and the "The Three Investigators" books.

Soooo, what are some books you read in your youth?

Let’s make it a great Thursday!

My dad and I would read a series of books he enjoyed when he was younger by Gordon Korman about Bruno and Boots (I'm pretty sure it's Canadian).  This was always about 30 minutes before bed and it would take a week or so to get through each book in the series.

I had this book as a child, and I think I looked at it several times a week for years.

Choose Your Own Adventure, Goosebumps, Babysitter's Club, tons of Roald Dahl, and SO many Beverly Cleary books! I was a voracious reader as a kiddo. Now, I love it, but have less time. I do make sure to set aside 10+ minutes a day before bed to ready though.

One of my favorite books that I read many times as a kid was "The Strawberry Girl". I have no idea now why I loved it, must've resonated with me at that time.

I just found a TON of my childhood books. Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys, Encyclopedia Brown, a million carebears/strawberry shortcake/she-ra books. Also things like the Hero & the Crown and the Dark is Rising series which I feel like I need to re-read.
