Throwback Thursday: your favorite headset? #TBT

It's Thursday!

giphy

Here is a picture of me when I was about 5 or so years old, rocking out to some super nice 1970's music just before going to bed. Not sure how effective that calming down before going to sleep exercise was... I'm sure my older siblings were babysitting that night :)

Soooo tell us, what is the favorite headset you've owned and why?

Let’s make it a great Thursday!

Such a fun throwback-love the photo and the 70’s music vibe, @Kristján Geir Mathiesen! 😊

As for my go-to headset these days, I’m all about the Apple AirPods. They’re super comfy and ridiculously compact. What I like most is that they pair automatically with both my iPhone and MacBook, and switch between them depending on which one I’m using. Super convenient! 🎧

thanks @Kristján Geir Mathiesen , a lot of memories with your Throwback Thursday :)

I remember my first headphones ... I loved them

The Consumer Electronics Hall of Fame: Sony Walkman - IEEE ...

Now, my preferred ones are my AirPods. You can do a lot of things during your daily calls :) :) :)

I absolutely love my current Apple Air Pod Pros. I must have one or both in my ears for 3-4 hours every day.

But my favorite headset was my first Beats by Dr. Dre Studio 2.0 wired over the ear headphones.

  1. I won them at a conference, had no idea I had won them, and they arrived as a complete surprise to me at my office in early 2014.
  2. The sound quality was unreal. I heard so many parts of orchestral music that I could never pick up on any headphones before, and the immersive nature of the sound was an amazing experience.
  3. They were wired - when every device we owned still had a headphone jack. No charging needed, no Bluetooth drop outs, just a pipeline of music and sound straight from my laptop, iPod or other music device to my ears.

Oh my goodness - that photo! 😍 What a sweet memory.

Not because of the sound quality, but I had a pair of wired Nike earbuds that had an adjustable hook to go around your ear that I LOVED for running. They finally bit the dust and I found a similar pair comfort-wise that are wireless. The new pair sits on my ears which is a bit safer for outdoor workouts. For indoor purposes, I love the hook over the ear because my pixel buds have fallen out too many times at the gym and gone bouncing across the floor and under a machine. 😅

My favorite set until they stopped working were my Mega Man headphones, and yes they red section on each ear piece actually lit up!

However, my current set I have been using for over 5 years is my Razer Kraken V3 and I've been very impressed at how long they have lasted.

That’s such a cute photo! 😄 Love the 70s vibe!

Thinking back, my very first headset was a simple wired one. It wasn’t anything high-tech, but I still remember how excited I was to finally have it. The moment I plugged it in and hit play, it felt like I had stepped into my own little world - just me and the music. That small experience left such a big impression! 🎧

Wishing everyone a fun and positive Thursday!

Aesthetically, I had gaming headphones that were cat ears and the ears lit up. They weren't the best quality, though.

My favorite everyday were some crappy $14.99 Skull Candies I picked up in an airport after forgetting the good headphones back at home. The "good" headphones died; Skull Candies lived for 3 years.

Favorite headset I ever got to use, though, were Beyerdynamic DT 770 PROs in the 250. I only got to rent those, but, those were incredible.

Hi

I like thin, over-ear headphones because they don't fall out and I don't have to worry about them. I find them very practical.

These are my favorite,

I've used these for years, since 2010, maybe even longer, and only replaced them when my phone no longer had a 3.5mm jack.  I have started using them again as I found a bluetooth to 3.5mm receiver.

what a cutie!  So, my favorite headset definitely doesn't fall into the TBT category as they are new.  haha.  Really, anything that is noise-cancelling will fall under the "favorite" category for me.....too much noise in the world.  😉
