Welcome Wednesday: Don't Forget to Renew Your Certs!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

In about 30 minutes from now, I will be completing my next Atlassian Certification! 

I saw an article last week in the Training & Certification collection, that I thought was worth some extra attention - @Ree Kent from Atlassian made a reminder that we should renew our certifications.

If you will remember last July, Atlassian changed the certification renewal process.  Given we are at the start of a new year, now is a great time to review the requirements and make sure that we have done enough to keep our certifications active so that we don't have to re-take the exams.

@Tomislav Tobijas yes I did pass!  In fact that was the last exam I needed to earn the ITSM specialist designation.  I'm looking at the Agile & DevOps one next!

Why does it expire?

The certifications expire after 2 years. In 2 years time much can change in the products. You need to refresh your knowledge of the products to maintain your certification status.
