Welcome Wednesday: How was Summer Vacation?

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

It's hard for me to believe the last Wednesday of the summer is here already! I know when I was younger, the first school assignment we would get would be to write about all the fun things we did over the summer break.

My question for you this week is: How was your summer? And, what did you do? Did you manage to do everything you wanted to do this year?

Personally, I think my family managed to do almost everything we wanted to this year. We went camping, we had day trip visits to friends, we made regular trips to the local market. The only thing we weren't able to do was going to pick cherries because they sold out withing 48 hours!!

I went to my niece's wedding in June, which only included 2 days off work, but was a very nice time. Other than that, I've spent my summer working too hard and trying to manage in the heat of central Florida. 🥵

I do fondly remember the "what I did on my summer vacation" assignments. Mine were generally about going to visit family.

Luckily I got in a vacation during the summer - got to see family and relax by a pool! 🙌

I am a big believer in vacationing outside of vacation time, so I didn't do much in terms of proper rest during the summertime.

But next week I am headed to the mountains for 3 days, celebrating the beginning of September = less people being off for a vacation 😂

Summer break for my kiddos meant a lot of added stress for me as their unpaid taxi driver. 😂 However, overall, I think they had a great summer filled with fun activities and some personal growth. School starts for my kids on Tuesday so we've squeezed in a great deal of fun these last few days.

My vacation was fantastic; it took just 20 days in the middle of July, but I achieved everything I had planned to do with my family.
