Welcome Wednesday: What are you grilling?

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

For a number of people, the warmer weather is usually the best time to use the BBQ. As someone who is resistant to the cold Canadian winter, I’m generally BBQing all year around. However, I thought it might be fun to make everyone very hungry by asking what you are grilling this week?

Personally, one of my favorite things is a Beer Can Chicken. We have a special stand that hold a tall can of beer in the middle that the chicken is place on standing up. Additionally, you need to “pour out“ half of the beer inside the can, so I get to enjoy half of the can of beer while cooking the chicken!

In the summer, I tend to use the grill for as much as I can—to reduce the heat in the kitchen and the number of pans I need to wash. In particular, I always make steak on the grill. Before I got a George Foreman grill for inside, I could never figure out how to cook steak properly indoors.

My kids would love your photos. They want to make the lava chicken from Minecraft. We usually grill carne asada. Yesterday we did bacon wrapped hot dogs.

Grilled a couple of ribeye steaks last week along with some lamb crops. I just got a new Big Green Egg now that I am back in the states, so there will be a lot more coming on the grill. Looking ribs for this weekend!

Last weekend, we grilled vegetables and meat. My husband and kid are all about the meat, while I’m more of a veggie fan — so we make sure everyone’s happy. :) Looks like this weekend might call for another round of both!

I am confident enough to admit that I know how to turn on the grill and turn it off, but never cook on it. My wife is the chef in the family and while she has never been able to convert me in to one, our oldest two sons are pretty mean grillers too. All summer long, at least twice a week, we will have a dinner of hamburgers, hot dogs, steaks, grilled chicken, shish kabobs and gilled veggies. There is nothing as delicious as freshly grilled fare - and if we can eat outside, that is the perfect evening together!

Yum, looks amazing @Jimmy Seddon! We love to grill in the summer, too. We use our Blackstone griddle almost as often. We mostly make grilled chicken, brats and hot dogs, and burgers. My husband will also occasionally make pulled pork in our smoker. It's so nice to not have a mess in the kitchen. 🤪
