Welcome Wednesday: What’s a Movie or TV Show You Can Watch Over and Over Again?

Wednesday.gif

Happy Wednesday, everyone!

I have two small children, which means I am regularly forced to watch TV shows/movies on repeat regardless if I enjoy them or not.

This week I thought I’d ask about your favorite comfort shows and movies that you never get tired of! Is there a film or TV series you can watch on repeat and still enjoy every time? Maybe it’s a classic comedy, an epic adventure, or a nostalgic favorite from your childhood.

One that I have recently had to watch on repeat is K-Pop Demon Hunters.

Honestly, it’s actually pretty good! The animation is wonderful, the songs are catchy and the fight scenes are engaging. However, if I were given the choice, it would be a marathon of one of three franchises:

  • James Bond: 007

  • Star Wars

  • Lord of the Rings

I’d love to hear from you what your go-to rewatch is below and tell us what makes it so special to you!

Have a great rest of the week!

For me it’s definitely Home Alone! 🎄 But since it feels so tied to New Year, I can only really watch it around New Year’s Eve to get into the festive mood.

Such a classic that never gets old. Great topic, thanks for sharing, @Jimmy Seddon!image_ed8d7a4e.jpeg

I feel your pain, @Jimmy Seddon. I went through a lot of Blue's Clues, Barney, SpongeBob, and Fairly OddParents when living with or near my nieces and nephews when they were young.

For myself:

My go-to rewatch would definitely be Pride & Prejudice!

Home Alone is a traditional TV movie shown in Estonia every December. It’s old but still good, and when you’re grown up, you notice new things and see it a bit differently. Die Hard is also a great movie that’s worth watching every year.

Even though neither of these is technically a Christmas movie, they’re usually shown around Christmas time, which makes them feel like part of the holiday tradition

For me Naruto is probably one I don't have a limit to how many times I can watch. Especially during lockdown years of WFH having played the long series in the background while working always made those long days easier.

Mine would be The Andy Griffith Show. So funny, and clean and wholesome.

Valerie Knapp - THE OFFICE! Absolutely that one is on often :D I haven't tried Superstore... Maybe I will check it out!

Otherwise I basically have Modern Family on repeat. Its odd watching it from each perspective as I age.
