Upgrades are one of the things you no longer need to think about when you are using Atlassian Cloud products.
If you use Atlassian Server or Data Centre products, it is important to keep your version up-to-date so you are protected from any known security vulnerabilities and maintain your access to Atlassian Support. You can see the application version on most pages in the product by scrolling to the bottom of the page.
