Release Management in Jira

From what i've found, in the current state of next-gen projects there isn't a "release" section/feature.

Without having to utilize a third party app, are there any other options for Next Gen projects? What are you all using?

The release feature is there already in next-gen projects but you might have not enabled it yet.

Go to Project Settings => Feature => Development => Releases - Enable by Toggle given.

Do check the screenshot for more clarity.
