Automation For Jira | validate if an issue exists in the active Sprint(s). How can I do it?

My problem statement is: 

If a user tries to log time in a Story / Sub-task / Defect that is not in active Sprint(s), comments should be added on the story

Please help

"sprint in openSprints () " would determine if the item is in an active sprint. Then you can add the action based on this. This would work for a Story, but you would need to add onto it for subtasks.
