Hi!
We're using Jira and scrum methodology in a team of (now) 20 people.
We're tracking each person's progress on the daily scrum meeting.
We have 1 QA for now, which is me, and I don't love the way we're tracking Testing progress right now at the daily.
We have decided that once a US is Dev Complete, we will move it to "In Testing" status. Then, we will set up Jira automation to create a Sub-Task with name "Testing" and assign to me.
We are using Zephyr to track our test cases, however there's a few things I don't understand.
There are 3 statuses right now. The status of the "Testing" subtasks, the status of the Test (Ready, In Progress), and all the test cases I will upload under the Test (Pass, Fail, etc.).
What happens when 7 tests are passed, and 1 is blocked? What will the status of the sub-task AND tests be? If we introduce statuses at sub-task level, then the developers who are also using sub-tasks will see these irrelevant statuses.
I see a lot of duplication here and I'm not sure how to handle this.
Any suggestions?
