Moving files in Zephyr Scale (cloud)

Hello

I have created a series of folders and sub folders in Jira and while I can upload from excel the uploads ALWAYS move to the 'All test Cases' folder. I have created a series of folders and sub folders but I can't find a way to move the uploaded scripts into these (or thier sub-folders).

Click and drag does not work and the 'Move to Folder' is not an option in the menu when I select and right click the script.

Any suggestions please?

Many thanks

John

Hi @John FitzGerald , welcome to the Atlassian Community and thanks for your question.

Are you not able, in this screen, to map the import file directly to the folder structure you have created?

Or do I misunderstand your question?

I would also recommend to always tag the app in this kind of post so that anyone who works for the vendor or has experience with the app can more quickly find the relevant posts to provide support.

Cheers

Valerie is right.  That is how you can control the start location of your import.  If you want to place test cases into sub-folders however, you will need to add a column to your import file and define the folder paths that you have created in ZS.

So for example if you are importing to the Root folder (which is the default option), the folder column in your CSV file would need to have values that match your folder structure in ZS, and would look something like the column below where I have 6 tests going into 4 folders:

Folder
Function/Process#1
Function/Process#1
Function/Process#1/Sub-process#2
Function/Process#1/Sub-process#2
Function/Process#2
Function/Process#2/Sub-process#2

Many thanks for the kind help but the question remains. How do I move test scripts between folders once the script is uploaded to Zephyr. I need to do this as part of the QA process?

Thanks again :-)

John

Hi John, you can select the test cases and drag them to a folder/sub-folder - it works for me - but I do find that it doesn't work if I try to click and drag from a hyperlink, such as a test case name.

Regards, Andy
