JIRA - Why doesn't JIRA Add the feature to log work by Type of Work? Interested in hearing about ho

Okay, SO.... Atlassian OBVIOUSLY knows something we don't.  All of us - users - not employed by Atlassian or a partner - still have a need to account for time by type of work.  SO... like many of us we have asked, voted, questioned, and even vented/cussed about the fact that so many of us (users) want this feature. See the long list below.

Okay - so let's figure out a way to make this work in the absence of a JIRA feature and/or a partner like TEMPO.  

Clearly, there is must be a way for us to track time by work type/task.

Interested in hearing about how we can collaborate to come up with a workable solution within JIRA and/or TEMPO (or another partner).

Actually, Tempo already has a way to do this.  You can add custom fields to worklog entries  with Tempo, and that could easily be a "type of work".  A simple usage for one of our teams is that we have a "billable" flag on the worklog entry, so we can tell reports "show me only the billable work logged in this project"
