I have looked all over in the settings/config but can't find where/how to add the Test Repository Path to the Test ticket type. This would allow a user to select the test repository folder while they're creating the ticket, or to edit the ticket post creation and select the folder. My only option currently is to drag & drop. I know it's a custom field included with Xray. Could it have been disabled in my instance? A previous employee set this up so I have no idea what they did. I've looked in Field Configurations for the project and tried to add the field, but anyplace I've looked it doesn't exist.
Hello @Gary ,
Good day, Welcome to Atlassian Community!!
Please look into, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLu7C3RAGI8 , hope this will be helpful.

Thanks Akhand. Unfortunately that didn't help. I have a test repository, but what I'm looking for is how to get the Test Repository Path field added to the Test ticket types. This would allow a user to select the test repository folder while they're creating the ticket, or to edit the ticket post creation and select the folder.

@Gary , not sure if there is any inbuilt field mapped to test ticket types for repository folder URL's maybe you can or request admin to create one custom field (single line text or URL type) and map it to test ticket types.
You will have to update it with URL does not select the folder from the ticket
For better support you can check with vendor as well: https://jira.getxray.app/servicedesk/customer/portal/2

Thanks Akhand. At my last company we had a dropdown that allowed us to set the Test Repository Path on ticket creation or by editing an existing one. I didn't have any hand in configuring their Jira/Xray instance so I don't know how they got it to show. As seen on this page, it should be an option https://docs.getxray.app/display/XRAY/Custom+Fields+and+Screen+Configuration
I have reached out to support. Just waiting on a response.

@Akh I got a reply back from support. My current system is cloud based and the Test Repository Path field is not available in the cloud based systems. This is due to screen and custom field limitations imposed by Jira cloud. Apparently my old company used server based.

Yeah, that is why I got confused, because I used Xray but never had that field, glad that it got clarified.
Thanks for the update over here, this will help others looking for same thing
