Hello, We are trying to move from ALM for our test data management. And we primally use JIRA for our projects which includes features and epics for a given release. Our goal is as follows: 1. For all epics in JIRA, write QA test cases in JIRA and connect them to the corresponding epic. 2. Some of the test cases would be manual, while some would be automated, so would need a connector from JIRA to Selenium (python). 3. We would like extract metrics like how many test cases passed for given epic, how many failed, how many defects were logged, so on and so forth. Based on our initial investigation, we felt that Zephyr might be the way to go. Is this right understanding? Do we need only Zephyr or other flavors/plugins of Zephyr to accomplish the goals 1-3. Or do you recommend some other plugin altogether?
Lastly, my company has cloud version of Enterprise JIRA? Does this plugin is part of that or it has to be purchased independently?
Starting with the basics: you’ll need licenses for any Marketplace app you choose.
Apps like Zephyr, Xray, and TestRail are all solid solutions. Since this question hasn’t gotten much traction here, I recommend reaching out directly to the vendors behind these apps and asking for a demo specific to your use case.
For even better results, mention your license size and involve someone with buying authority in the conversation - this will usually speed things up and ensure you get a high-quality demo experience. Plus, you’ll get a sense of which support team is the most responsive and helpful.
Or you can reach to some Solution Partner to help you.
