Changing effort per day in Tempo Planner

Hi all

Is there an elegant way to allocate specific time to a task per day in Tempo Planner

Scenario

A PM has created a task called Review Technical  Scope and Assigned it to a resource with and estimate of 10 Hours in a 5 day week in JIRA and it is synched with Tempo Planner

Tempo planner will automatically spread the 10 hours across 5 days = 2 hours per day

What i want to do is phase the effort across the 5 days e.g

  • Mon 4 Hours,
  • Tue -2 hours
  • Wed - 1 Hour
  • Thu - 1 hour
  • Fri - 2 Hours

I can split the task into 5 and allocated each segment the effort but i find this very cumbersome to do particularly for tasks which take longer

Any ideas welcome

Perhaps a feature change could be introduced that can model the daily distribution of hours at creation without the need to split tasks

Hi @Rakesh Pradhan , thanks for your question.

I don't know that this is possible yet in Tempo, but BigPicture has a function like this called, 'workload contouring' - https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DLP/pages/297046379/Workload+contouring

^ Is this more what you are after?

Thanks Valerie

We have big picture and have seen the workload contouring feature .  We are trying to use Tempo capacity planner add in to manage resource assignment and allocation as we already have tempo timesheets as our time tracking tool
