I have added zyphy to Jira but cant see issue type test under the issue types. The Zephyr is installed.
Hi @sheetal_raina this is old documentation. The "Test" Issue Type no longer exists; Zephyr uses native Jira Issue Types now. But I see below that you have a "Test" Issue Type so I assume your admins created that, and it can be used if you prefer. Your other question regarding Dashboards is actually unrelated to Issue Types because you cannot display test case data in a Jira Dashboard - you can only show summary information as per what is permitted in the Zephyr gadgets. If you want more help on this, please head over to the Zephyr User Community, here, where I can more easily add screenshots and you can connect with other users of Zephyr :)

Hi @sheetal_raina ,
Usually, issue/item type is automatically added to the project issue/work type scheme > see official docs.
Additionally, you can enable/disable the app on a project level (you might want to check this).
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Tobi

Hi @Tomislav Tobijas I did see the official documentation but it mentions the issue type test gets automatically added once we add zephy. However, my project already had the issue type test in place before adding zephyr. I believe that is messing up. But how do I get rid of that. Now my problem is that if I want to create certain filters for my test cases for creating JIRA dashboards I cant do that as I am unable to search my test cases there, even though they have the right project level config

Welcome to the community.
Zephyr has the ability to use issue types in Jira, there should be a Zephyr option in the configuration.

Rename the current issue type or delete the issue type, on deleting Jira will ask you to which issue type the current issues will have to be moved.
Then see if disabling and enabling the app will create the Test issue type.
Otherwise get in contact with the app developer and maybe even Atlassian Support how to get this fixed.
