Templates not applied when creating issues from the Backlog

Hi everyone

I’m using the Issue Templates Picker plugin to define templates for different issue types.

  • What works:
    When I click the + Create button next to the search bar on top of the screen, the template is automatically inserted into the Description field... every time

  • What doesn’t work:
    When I create an issue from the Backlog (using the “Create issue” box at the bottom of the Backlog), no template is applied. Even if I manually select a template from the dropdown, nothing appears in the Description.

Has anyone seen this behaviour before? What might be preventing the template from loading in the Backlog view, and how can I fix it?
