Using the Atlassian Remote MCP Server beta

Sorry to nudge again on this, but do we have any timeline for when the remote MCP server will move out of beta and become generally available (GA)?

Also, once GA, can we expect: 

• inclusion in core compliance programs (e.g. SOC2, ISO27001, GDPR)?

• support for full SLAs, billing options, and license enforcement?

• support for Data Residency controls (ideally)?

These are major blockers for enterprise adoption in our case.

Just for reference: Linear released their own MCP server GA on May 1st.

Depending on what you are doing, maybe the jira-cli makes more sense than the MCP. It's open source and seems to work fine at least with Claude Code: https://github.com/ankitpokhrel/jira-cli

Just installed it and added this line to my Claude config ~/.claude/CLAUDE.md

 You have access to jira command line tool for projects and issues in jira

Haven't done much testing, but at least Claude can now retrieve issues, update them etc.

Is MCP server only supported for Cloud based Jira or can it work with Data Center Jira ?
