How To Restrict Manual Steps In Bitbucket Pipelines To Certain Users?

We're fleshing out our CI processes, and one of the things we're moving toward is making more use of Bitbucket Pipelines. Something I'd like to have is the ability to use Pipelines for deployment, but this shouldn't be available to every user. We'd hate to have the intern push to Prod, for example. How can I restrict a manual Pipeline step to a certain subset of users?

There is a public feature request for this being tracked, and as mentioned here, it is on the medium term roadmap. Upvote and watch the ticket there if you're interested :)
