Hey,

we are running JIRA and Bitbucket both OnPremise and consider updating Bitbucket from 5.8 to its latest version (6.4 as of today).

JIRA cannot be updated (no license available) and must stay on version 7.5.0.

Is the newest Bitbucket (OnPremise) version compatible to the very outdated JIRA instance?

(Meaning will it show the Commits etc. on a linked JIRA ticket?)

Thanks in advance,

Pascal

It should work. 7.5 isn't that "outdated" (not until September this year: https://confluence.atlassian.com/support/atlassian-support-end-of-life-policy-201851003.html ).

That said - BB is pretty good at being backwards compatible etc - but your best bet would be to have a staging instance of both Jira and Bitbucket and test there...

Thanks. I miss for example a wiki entry for BB with its (backward)compatibility to other Atlassian software (such as JIRA).
