Hello everyone!
I'm a Bitbucket free plan user, and I recently received an email notifying me that my Workspace exceeds the 1 GB limit that will be applied on April 28th.
I was wondering if I can simply purchase more space for my Workspace without upgrading to the Standard plan.
I've seen a "Free with Overage Coverage" option that gives 100 GB of Git LFS for $10 per month, but I don't know if the space increase is only for Git LFS or if it would also apply to the entire Workspace.
From what I've seen in my Workspace statistics, the size used by Git LFS and the size of the Workspace seem to be computed separately.
Could someone clarify this for me?
Thanks and best regards!
Hello @Antonio Jesús Acosta ,
and welcome to the Community!
The "Free with Overage Coverage" option you mentioned specifically provides additional storage for Git LFS. This means that the extra 100 GB you purchase for $10 per month is exclusively for storing large files using Git LFS.
Your Workspace's overall storage limit, which is 1 GB on the Free plan, applies to all repositories and their contents that are not stored using Git LFS. This includes the combined size of all the repositories within the workspace (excluding the files stored in LFS - which is treated as a separate storage).
With that in mind, purchasing additional Git LFS storage will not increase this overall 1 GB limit for non-LFS files. To increase your Workspace's total storage capacity beyond this limit, you would need to upgrade to the Standard or Premium plans.
I hope this helps clarify! Let us know in case you have any questions.
Thank you, @Antonio Jesús Acosta !
