How to integrate Bitbucket workspace with already existing Jira instance?

Hello,

my project manager has it's own Atlassian account and with Jira subscription.

And I want make him able to track my Bitbucket projects with his Jira instance.

But in my Bitbucket Workspace settings I have only option to "Try Jira Cloud Now", and then it takes me to Jira website where I should create my Jira account.

But I want go integrate with Jira which already exists. Is it possible? How to do that?

YES it is possible.

In Jira we will have "DVCS Accounts" from there we have to connect to bitbucket workspace.

Oh man, great thanks for your answer.

It helped me. But I spent about 3 hours to figure it out.

Your advice with DVCS Accounts didn't help me immediately. I made a lot of tries with no success. But finally I found out that at first my manager need to invite me to his Jira, and then I need to grant access to his Jira from my Bitbucket account.

But now my manager still complain that I can see all of his Jira projects and I can even edit them. He have at the moment free version of Jira so he has no option to inviting me to single project. He need to invite me to his Jira globally. 

But we wonder if he could change my permissions, at least to scenario where I can't edit all his Jira projects but only selected?

OK, so it looks like for free Jira subscription there is no option to edit permission for users.
