I created a new organization and wanted to delete old one, in a hope to recreate the projects in the new organization. For this deletion, first I needed to delete projects/workloads under an old organization, but after this deletion, domain addresses (for JIRA and Bitbucket free plans) remained "used/unavailable".
As I've googled, it seems impossible to use use those urls into any new organizations, as Atlassian keeps those urls forever.
Can I at least restore just deleted workspaces/whatever-is-the-name in the previous old organization? This way, I'll retain URLs I wanted to have. This is very important to me.. and I can't find direct customer support channel (email or etc.).
Thanks!
Oh.. I just found this: https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Bitbucket-questions/Recover-deleted-Bitbucket-Workspace/qaq-p/2452903 which means it should be possible to restore my workspace, as I've deleted it just now. Please, please, help me!
Hi @tsiklauri
We can't restore deleted workspaces, unfortunately. I am able to change the workspace ID of the deleted workspace, however - to free up its ID for usage when you create a new one.
Would you like me to do so?
Cheers!

Yes, please. ID is what I want (if that's what comes after bitbucket.org/). As I understand, I'll be able to create new workspace and use the previous (currently marked as "taken") ID. Actually, it's a bit weird that IDs get stuck forever, even when org is deleted.
Cheers back!

Hi @tsiklauri
I've just changed the username/workspaceID by adding "-old" to the end of it.
You should now be able to create a workspace with the ID that you're wanting to use.
Cheers!

Thanks, Ben. This time the desired username is not showing up as "taken/existing", but when I clicked create, it started creation (saying bots are working, etc.) and then I got HTTP 500... after which, I got two emails:
- First saying "You are now an administrator of the .... workspace", and
- Second - "One of the confirmed email addresses (email@here) associated with Giorgi Tsiklauri was removed because someone else verified ownership of the address on a different account. If you did not make this change, please email support@bitbucket.org."
Bottomline = when I now open the workspace, it's HTTP 500 and nothing opens.. (

Hi, @Ben
What have you done such, that I can't open bitbucket website at all, anymore? :) It keeps giving me HTTP 500. Probably some session is stuck, and whenever I try to open the website in a normal tab, it's 500, however, if I open it in the inco-gnito, then it opens the website. Something goes terribly wrong, mate. Once again: I can't even open bitbucket website: https://bitbucket.org/ nor can I open https://www.bitbucket.org/ .
Update: I have now cleared cookies.. then atlassian's website opened, but as soon as I go to bitbucket.org, it's HTTP 500. Something is really broken on the server end.

Hi @tsiklauri
You've tried to login using an email alias instead of your primary email address - this explains the "One of the confirmed email addresses (email@here) associated with Giorgi Tsiklauri was removed because someone else verified ownership of the address on a different account. If you did not make this change, please email support@bitbucket.org." email:
May I know what happens when you try using a different browser, and navigate directly to the workspace URL? Ie https://bitbucket.org/YourWorkspaceIDHere
Cheers!

@Ben Hi!
I'm unaware of any alias whatsoever. :) and I didn't do anything except trying to open the website with my account. It's clearly some server-side problem, Ben. I didn't do anything.
HTTP ERROR 500 happens on anything I open with bitbucket.org or bitbucket.org/ANYTHING_HERE

Hi again Giorgi,
Before I raise a ticket on your behalf - may I please confirm that you are logging in using your correct email address?
Cheers!
