our jira license is getting expire this month and we are planning to upgrade our server to data centre edition later this year. The question is, will there be some sort of credit towards the purchase of Data Center licenses for the unused portion of our server licenses? or not.
Also our other tools expire on some different dates, how can we make all tools align in such a way that they expire on same date.
like our bamboo and bitbucket expire on september and jira expire on this june so that if we proceed our renewal process at once for all tools and how to make they have same expiry date.
Thanks
You will have a discount credit for upgrading to data center but you will no longer have any credit for the remaining support maintenance of your server license.
Discount for upgrade to DC can be found on https://www.atlassian.com/licensing/data-center#datacentertermlicenses-5 or can be calculated via the formula below.
(Data Center pricing - (Server Pricing x ,40)) = Upgrade Price
Hi,
Refunds can be requested until 30 days after you purchase. After that, there are no refunds anymore. See this excerpt from the licensing FAQ:
If you want to co-term your licenses, contact an Solutions Partner. This can be done at renewal or purchase of new licenses, but the maintenance period of at least one of your licenses should last for at least 12 months.

we are in the situation like our server instance is expiring within a month and we need to renew the license soon and at the same time, we are planning to upgrade the server to data centre edition later this year, so how does the things goes? there is not such situation about 30 days refund in our case.
how does the credit adjusted when we go for upgrading to data centre edition on mid of the lecensing period?
Thanks
