Ticket creation from Jira mailbox stopped after migrating to Exchange Online

Hi Team,

We had an mailbox which used to create new issues in Jira when provided with ticket fields in needed format.

The mailbox was migrated to Exchange Online recently. Since then we have stopped receiving tickets created from email.

Can I get some assistance on why this is happening ? and if we need to do any changes to incoming server setting from Jira side ?

When I run "Test connection" on Incoming email server, I get Authentication failed error.

Hi Susmitha,

Did you get any information from the Exchange team as to how the authentication happens after the move to Exchange Online?

Check if Jira accepts connections from Exchange Online, this should help figure out where the connection is being blocked.

Also, take a look at the logs located at /var/atlassian/application-data/jira/log/atlassian-jira-incoming-mail.log it may give you extra details as to why the connection is failing.
