Hi I am planing to migrate bitbucket repository to a completely new bitbucket server. Due to licence policy with users I will have to also migrate the licence from one server to another. And here is my question will it be possible to just update a license key on the destination server, since it has a different SERVER_ID than it was added during licence generation ?

Hi Bartosz,

The Server ID is only ever needed when generating an evaluation license or retrieving your license for the first time. After that, the server ID is stored in the database and is not bound by the license.

Therefore, you can update your license key on the server with no impact to the server ID.

Additional Info:

I hope that answers your question. Please let me know if there is anything else.

Hi Mark,

Thank you for your response. I can confirm that moving the license to new server worked without additional problems.
