Currently, we are using FreshDesk to host our product documents from Confluence. We are using a third-party plugin to sync our documents from Confluence to FreshDesk. But we are facing the following issues:
- Sync between Confluence and Freshdesk breaks often. We have to manually check each page and then sync it again.
- The whole process of syncing is manual. we have to go to each and every page and click Sync to sync our documents.
- The document hierarchy maintained in Confluence is not copied to Freshdesk. We have created categories and folders as per our product modules, and we place each page accordingly.
- When we are quoting a particular child page on other pages of the same guide as a cross-reference, currently we have to go Freshdesk and copy the Freshdesk URL of that page and then paste it manually on all pages where it's mentioned as a cross-reference. This a tedious task and is prone to human error.
Is there any alternative for Freshdesk where the above issues can be solved?
The following features are desirables:
- A single Sync button to sync all pages within a user guide.
- We can host different versions of the same document on a single page where the customer can select a particular version and the selected version of the document will be displayed.
- All URLs of the child pages that are mentioned as a cross-reference on other pages should automatically reflect the destination platform URL instead of the source platform.
