Access to a locked project for specified users only

Hi, 

When our content is more or less finished, we would like to proof-read the text before sending it for translation. As the project is locked at this stage, we would like to open it for one or 2 users (or a defined group) only - is this possible? It's imperative that other users cannot add or change the content during this time.

Any ideas?
