Is Atlassian considering making Confluence a KCS v6 verified tool?

Many teams across my organziation have used Confluence for years (since v2). We're beginning the process of adopting KCS, and being able to use Confluence as our knowledge base platform would allow for a degree of familiarity and help with buy-in.

As it stands now though, there are a few key functions that are not present. Currently, the ability to link Confluence articles to work items within Microsoft System Center Service Manager) is a big obstacle.

I'd like to top this topic up.

I've watched several videos on youtube where Atlassian's stuff do great presentations on the KCS methodology, yet Confluence is far from being KCS-friendly. Most of what is needed for KCS can be worked around, but with a lot of pain.

Here is a sample of what would be needed in order to be more KCS compliant:

- KCS roles (Create new, not validated articles / Contribute to articles / Validate & Publish articles)

- Article status (WIP, not validated, validated, archived)

- Partial article visibility restriction

- Native stats on reuse vs new (not depending on third party plugin such as Analytics for Confluence)
