Hi,

I have recently set up JIRA and confluence for our organization. To facilitate our users, and ensure access only for our people, I used the Kantega SSO plugin to set up SSO through our GSuite account.

I have then set my confluence instance to delegate user management to JIRA. Now Confluence asks for username and password. What is the recommended way to achieve this SSO and complete synchronization of accounts across all applications?

There is also the matter of admin access. When I try to get admin access for the system settings, the applications ask for a (non-existent) password.

Hi @asimami,

have you installed the SSO Plugin on both systems? It will have to be on either system to work.

Cheers,

P.S. Full disclosure, I work for resolution, a marketplace vendor developing Single Sign On Add On's for Atlassian Server & Data-Center.

That makes sense. Further question is, will I have to do the complete set up on both JIRA and Confluence? Or just setup on one and delegation from the other with the addon on both will work?

Yes, you need to install it on both.  Without it, the system does not know how to get the authentication data from your machine.
