Dear Sir,
If we already setup a new confluence, how can we backup the setting , such as account and permission setting? If we want to restore the setting to another new confluence server, is it possible to finish it ? Thank you.
Hi there,
It's unfortunately not possible to migrate specific settings only. These settings are stored on the Confluence database, so you'd need to restore a full database backup in the new server. This would work, but would migrate all your instance content as well.
This would consist on a migration of Confluence, which has all steps described on this documentation: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Migrating+Confluence+Between+Servers
Thanks.
Regards,
LM
Long time ago, I have tried restore confluence postgresql command to restore database as listed as below:
psql.jpg
But now it's got something wrong as listed as below:
psql2.jpg
How can we backup and restore database when our confluence is new and have no data ? Is there any suggestion about the issue ? Thank you.

You cannot backup the permissions or other configurations as such. What you can do is to take entire confluence instance backup in an xml and restore it (on test environment) should you wish to see any of the settings at the later point in time.
