Copy/Paste Jira links into confluence gives inconsistent results even with "display inline" selected

One of my colleagues is running into an issue where copy/paste Jira links only displays as a URL. She was able to copy/paste JIRA links with the "display inline" setting as normal. This week, she can only copy/paste the plain-text URL with no other smart link functionality.

While using Chrome, we tried clearing her browser cache, toggling issue linking on and off, toggling through the various display URL, Display inline, and display cards options. They are giving her inconsistent results. Copy/paste a JIRA link will most often post the URL only and  does not include a hyperlink. However, toggling the issue linking option on/off will allow her to paste issue with hyperlinks, but not as inline or with cards.

We switched her over to Firefox to see if this was a browser related issue, but when she copy/paste jira links, they display as cards even though "display inline" is selected.

These inconsistent results have us scratching our heads. We would appreciate any help.

Hi Jason,

Indeed strange behavior. Have notice that sometimes when I copy and paste links, I need to hit enter to have the cursor go to a new line, then the link becomes a hyperlink.

However, there has been some odd behavior with copy and paste if you follow this post below:
