Create a KB article out of a ticket is not working

Jens Rosemann March 1, 2018

I've read this article (https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/error-when-trying-to-create-kb-from-jira-servicedesk-no-permission-to-create-pages-in-space-892611073.html) which describes my problem exactly.

But the problem is: I'm administrator in both of the applications. I have a application link between my Service Desk instance and Confluence. I'm logged on into both applications.

What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions?

Below are two screenshots of the global permissions for anonymous and the space permissions aswell:

Hello @Jens Rosemann

You mentioned you are an administrator for both application, but your screenshot is referring to the Anonymous access, which doesn't sound match..

However, if you see the same error message described in the KB you mentioned:

No permission to create pages in space XXX.

Then you're probably looking at a permission issue. Based on your attachment, you only show that the anonymous user is having Can Use and View permissions, which is missing out the Page/Add permission to actually allow the user to create a page

can add.JPGPerhaps you can check if the group that your testing user belongs to, do they have the correct permissions or not. If you are testing with an admin account, you can check if your account belongs to the confluence-administrators default group which is the super-admin group and users in this group should have all permissions in Confluence
