Disable mentioning mail notification by default

Hi There

is there a way to disable mail notifications for mentionings by default for new users?
I read that users can set this in their profile manually, but I want to have it OFF by default, so users have to active ist manually?

Hello Matthias,

It's not possible to do in Confluence, but there is a feature request for this:

• CONFSERVER-25479

There may be some back-end way to do it, but I am not aware of that. I would keep an eye on the feature request above in the event that someone finds a way to work-around that.
