This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Use JIRA applications and Confluence together
Do you need a JIRA account to view a JIRA Issues macro on a Confluence page? I am having an issue where my Confluence users who do not have JIRA accounts cannot view JIRA issues macros in Confluence. When they open pages with these macros they get the following error message:
"JIRA server returned a trusted apps erro: PERMISSION_DENIED; Permission Denied; []"
Yes, the user accounts in Confluence needs to have a corresponding JIRA account, with the right permissions.
