Hello all,
is it possible to have some spaces with Anonymous-access not listed in the space directory at? And those spaces not to be considered when searching in the general Confluence site at all?
It should be possible that the spaces can be accessed by anyone knowing and entering the URL of the space. But anyone being on the general Confluence site should not find the restricted spaces at all.
However, when being in such a restricted space, a text search over the restricted space must be possible (the search might consider just the articles in the restricted space).
I was thinking to archive the spaces. But then the spaces are still listed after clicking on "Archived Space". And when searching the Confluence site, there is the check mark "Include archived spaces" to consider.
It is not a real possibility to restrict the space to certain Confluence users or groups. The audience accessing the spaces will vary very often and the Confluence licenses are scarce.
Maybe anybody is having some ideas/solutions? Thanks!
Hello Eva, you should be able to accomplish that using CSS, there is a list of interface elements that can be hidden here. There is a chance you may need some JS understanding too.
With the aid of a web development tool such as Firebug, you should be able to get to the right element to be hidden.
Hope it helps!
Hi, thanks for the links. I am not sure yet whether I will take this approach but it looks like a good place to keep in mind. Eva
