How to call a Confluence API from my Jira add-on?

I need to access some Confluence data in my Jira add-on, I have learnt that I can do this by creating a add on in Confluence. What kind of add-on should I create in Confluence and then how can I send the data from there to my Jira add-on?

I am using Jira ondemand and my plugin is developed in springboot.
