How to change the configuration of a directory from an Internal with LDAP delegation to LDAP user directory

Hi all,

we have a server instance of Confluence (5.8.14) and a server instance of JIRA (6.1) in which have been configured two internal directory with LDAP authentication.

Now we would like to change these configurations setting a connection LDAP user directory.

I've tried to create the new directory, users are recognized, but I have problem with groups permission, because if I delete the internal with LDAP authentication I lose all information about groups.

There is a way to mantain these information?

Thank you!

Simona

Hi Simona,

I think that only with DB manipulation you will be able to maintain the permissions and groups. I suggest to have a look in this answer regarding user migration between directories which may help with this step.

Thank you very much Rodrigo!

It is possible also to create the new directory and put it in the first position and maintain both directories...I know it is not a clean solution, but there are other contraindications?
