Hello!

In one location we have Confluence Server accessible on the internet (AWS)
In another location, we have JIRA Server on an intranet - not accessible over the internet (GCP)

Corporate policy appears to prevent us from making Confluence accessible on the internet.

How can we create an application link between JIRA and Confluence with these constraints?

Proxy Server? DNS Entry to allow Confluence to connect just to JIRA?

Hi @Ken Lange

If my understanding is correct, Confluence is on AWS and accessible via the Internet, and Jira Server is on GCP and is restricted with VPN.

As you would need to connect Jira and confluence with Base URL's I would suggest connecting Jira via Proxy Server that is accessible VPN and is able to connect to Confluence.

Since the Servers are in different Cloud Platforms, the VPN Connections and Proxy Servers.

Please follow the links for more info https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/configure-an-outbound-proxy-for-use-in-jira-server-247857187.html

Thanks,
Pramodh
