I am on version 7.12.4 of Confluence. When I enter the license key I recently purchased it gives me an error in the console stating XSRF error.

I would recommend not sharing the license with the public.
Now to the possible cause, you can find a few documented on this knowledge base.
If none of these solve your problem, I suggest contacting Atlassian support.
