Is Confluence 5.8.4 compatible to JIRA Software 7.8?

Manuel Meinhard March 6, 2018

Hello!

We are evaluating the update of JIRA and Confluence (Server-Versions) at the moment.

If we update JIRA Server from v6.4.5 to current version v7.8 - do we also need to update our Confluence-Server instance (v5.8.4)? I cannot find any information in the documentation about compatibility between the two.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi @Manuel Meinhard

You can link Confluence 5.8.4 and Jira Software 7.8, they are compatible.

Only some very old versions of Atlassian Products inherit incompatibilities. See here for the details: Application links version matrix

Personal tip: Consider updating Confluence as well in hindsight of the reached end of life.

Cheers
Niklas
