I've been experimenting with sending to send email reminders for uncomplete tasks in Confluence in my own space, and so far it's been working great!
Except that if multiple tasks assigned to a person, multiple emails are sent, even if all the tasks are on the same page. I'd like to change this so that only one email is sent to each person (because let's be real, if someone is getting spammed with reminders, none of the tasks will actually get done). Is this possible?
What (built-in?) feature are you using exactly for "tasks"? Also, what are these tasks typically? What do you want Confluence users to do based on these task reminders?
In Confluence, there’s this macro called “tasks”. That’s what I’m referring too. This is what it looks like.
(Yes, that is a Schitt’s Creek reference. Like I said, this is an experiment before I attempt to use it with the rest of the team.)
Eventually, we’re hoping to use this to remind the team leads to update our weekly status report pages—and then maybe as reminders to update out of date pages, but we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.

Thanks, @Christian Bellmore
I had a feeling that you want to remind users of outdated pages. For this purpose and for a more comprehensive content lifecycle management workflow, I recommend looking into Better Content Archiving for Confluence.
You can set up your rules for automatic status classification, then automatically send notification emails to responsible Confluence users based on those statuses. You can use built-in email templates for that or customize the content of the email.
This tutorial blog on Confluence reminders summarizes all you need to know and the video in there shows some of these features in action.
(Please note that Better Content Archiving is a free/paid and supported app and I'm part of the team developing it.)

Hi @Christian Bellmore ,
Thank you for the question! Unfortunately, there’s no way to get the required functionality out of the box.
On Data Center/Server, our team has developed a Handy Reminder macro to set custom reminders with specific notification criteria. Criteria include, for example, who will get the notification (a particular user, several users, or user groups), when the notification is sent, whether it will be recurring, and what’s the period if so. You can adjust the notification message as well.
The great thing about the Handy Macros for Confluence is that it is a bundle of different macros - all in one app.
Can you confirm that you need any similar functionality on Cloud, and if so, would you be willing to try out a separate macro also designed for Task reports notifications that fulfill reminder functionality? We’d be happy to discuss the details with you in our support.
Have a lovely Friday!
Kind regards,
Anastasia

Yeah, that tracks :/ Thank you so much for answering my question and telling me about Handy Reminders though! That does sound like it would be very helpful! I'll make sure to tell my supervisor about it :)
