The question you mentioned links to a feature request at jira.atlassian.com. This is the best place to see the progress of issues like this. 

There, you can see that this feature has been accepted. The comment there says this is something they would like to eventually implement, but not something they're working on.

The issue will be updated if it becomes a priority.
