I have heard from my colleague that there can be three categories of users in Confluence -
Contributors: who needed a full license seat
Authenticated readers: who can read both restricted and unrestricted pages: but I don’t remember their license status
Anonymous readers who can only read unrestricted pages
Is this true? If yes, what kind of license do I have to opt for Authenticated readers?
Vishali,
A user is defined as a unique, named account that has been granted access to an application (can use permission). Anonymous users may also be granted access and do not count against license totals.
Contributors and Authenticated readers both wil count on your license as they will need to log in on Confluence to have access on the restricted pages.
I hope it clarifies your doubt!
Thiago,
Thank you for the clarification,
Regards,
