Is there a way to link Confluence with BMC Remedy?

We use this ticket-tool for production-incidents and want to link these Remedy-tickets to Confluence, so we can build up a Wiki connected to specific incidents.

Yeah, the jira issues-macro for Confluence sounds pretty good! Were do I get it?

Well, the Jira issues macro only works for Jira. I seem to remember it's distributed as part of Confluence off-the-shelf already, but if that's wrong, it'll be in the marketplace. There's more at for using it: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/JIRA+Issues+Macro

I don't know how Remedy might expose any of its data to the outside world. If it's similar to Jira, then you might be able to write something similar to the jira issues macro that reads Remedy instead.

I'm not aware of any plugins that do this already though, sorry.

Hey guys,

We are using ZigiOps for connecting Jira with remedy, works for both BMC Remedy and Helix.

It is flexible in terms of data filtering and mapping. Hope this helps.

Depends on what you mean by "link". You can include simple urls in Confluence pages by simply typing them in. A lot of places use user macros to simplify this (e.g. [xyz-123@jira] here gives you a link to xyz-123 in our Jira). There are macros/add-ons for pulling in more detailed data, although I've not seen any for Remedy myself (the last time I looked, Remedy was best described as torturous and isolated, and didn't provide any useful methods for external access. It's one of my pet hatreds too - having been forced to use it on several occaisions, I can guarantee you'll get a LOT of love from your users if you migrate to Jira)

Yes, I know, it's dreadful. So, you're looking for something like the "jira issues" macro in Confluence? That macro nips into Jira and displays the results of a filter - I'm guessing what you're looking for is similar - something that nips into Remedy and displays the results of a query of some sort? Or is it really an "import" - a one off scrape of information?

I know about the issues with Remedy... but we have to use it along with JIRA.

We would like to have an addon that allows us to import all the Remedy-ticket-informations into Confluence, so we won't need to do that manually. A single link to a Remedy-ticket doesn't do it for us (besides the links to Remedy don't work all the time as they seem to be session-based and these sessions time out).
