New Project setup Help!

I cloned the existing setup of a project and to allow all the automations and specific field requirements to carry over.  However, I want to use a different issue type scheme.

If I change the scheme for issue types, does that break the whole project?

I am new to setting this up.  We have had JIRA in place for many years and no experts are left to assist with new project setup questions.

Hi @Robert Lynch

That would not "break" the project. But you would need to map the new issue types to specific screens and workflows, if desired, or they will follow whatever is set as the current default for those schemes.

I would also make sure that any automations that were created would be updated if they use issue type in them.
