Hi All -

We are looking for options to implement 2FA (2 factor authentication) for JIRA and Confluence.

We have JIRA and confluence both set up on-premise. Can someone please suggest the options available.

If 2FA is not a viable option, then what are other ways to implement tighter login mechanism?

For us, 2FA means when you enter your userid/password along with a number from the RSA token.

Thanks,

Payal

Hi Payal,

There are add-ons you can try.  One that I'm aware of is 2-Factor Auth (2FA) Secure Login - JIRA.

In addition, please vote on CWD-677.

Cheers,

Branden

Hello there,

You may refer to the plugin below that works for me as expected.

For Jira:- Click Here

For Confluence:- Click Here

The above plugin also has an advanced user management feature so that both individuals and groups can take 2FA action.

Thanks,

Heta

Hi Payal,

there are other plugin to enable two-factor authentication for JIRA and Confluence (and even Atlassian Crowd)

The add-ons provided by SecSign Inc. does not need any additionaly usb-tokens or the input of generated numbers.

The solution of SecSign is a true 2-factor authentication and a 2-channel authentication as well.

The add-ons provided by SecSign Inc can be found at:

2FA add-on for JIRA by SecSign

SecSign 2FA add-on for Confluence

SecSign 2FA add-on for Atlassian Crowd

Information about the installation process and the login procedure can be found at:

I am staggered that there isn't any real kind of secure log in for Confluence Cloud.  We pay a lot of money to use it and I do not feel that our data is very secure.
