Hi
I was wondering how I go about gaining full administration rights for our Confluence account? Recently the person in charge of the account left our company, and we need to have 2 users (myself and another) with the highest privileges possible to run it. Is this going to be easily achievable?
Regards
Chris
Hey Chris,
Are you using Confluence OnDemand or Confluence Server?
Do you have any other account that you can currently login as an administrator? If yes, just add yourself to the confluence-administrators group. You can read more about user management at https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Managing+Site-Wide+Permissions+and+Groups
Thank you
Bhushan
It would not allow me to deactivate user
Do you get an error message or you do not have the option to deactivate users? Are you part of the confluence-administrators groups?

You can also take a look at the document to read more about global permissions.

I'm pretty sure that we are using Confluence Server.
I'm currently listed as a 'Confluence administration' but when I tried to deactivate a user it would allow me. Is it because my privilege access is to low? What should I be set up as?

Login to confluence as a system admin and use the guide here.

If however, you do not have system admin access and there is no other user with sys admin access, you will have to take a look at this document.

A message comes up telling me I don't have privileges and to contact my 'site administrator'. This is my current admin access:
How do I become part of the confluence-administrator groups?
